When I went to start trying to write an app with a GUI (my first since university) I was expectedly unimpressed with how obtuse the windows API is for it.
What did startle me is that nobody seems to have simplified the process and published the results.
I found two dozen "graphics libraries" with hundreds of special data types, enums, and weirdly named functions. I still haven't found a class called "Window", or a function called "createWindow". _________________ nop

Have you looked at DFL, GtkD, wxD, TioPort, and maybe even Harmony (I think that was its name)? |
