Hi guys,
I've been working on a new version of DMDScript. I used the source provided by Walter, some from Walnut, some from Carlos and JCC.
It's basically DMDScript 1.13 after:
1) pretty-printed
2) source cleaned up
3) moved into a folder structure
4) ActiveXObject is being worked on (and mostly works)
I figured dsource.org was the appropriate place to put such an engine. It's open sourced under the GPL v2, which is legal and appropriate.
Uh, yeah. So gimme a project and I'll hook everyone up with the source and such. _________________ nop

About how long can I expect it to take to get a project, so that I may release working source code under the GPL?
No offense, just an honest question, so that I know the answer. _________________ nop

| Brad has to push some buttons to set up your account. I don't think it takes long, but he's the only one who can do it. You might be able to get a quicker response if you send him a PM.
By the way, he's probably going to to ask you what name you want for your project. Is it "DScript" or "DScriptEngine" or something else? I just happened to notice that googling "DScript" gave a variety of unrelated pages, so I don't know if that's the best name. But I'm not any good at coming up with names.
Or you might just ask to take over the Walnut project. I don't think anyone will fight you for the vacant Walnut project administrator job. |

I think I'd have to get Carlos' okay for that one, it was his baby (I think).
Also, my engine goes well outside the bounds of what Carlo's was working on. Mine's a drop-in replacement for dmdscript by Walter, instead of an extension.
I suppose though, that it serves much the same purpose. With Carlos' OK, I'd be happy to go through and rename the engine Walnut and get that moved into the active category.
Now to track down Carlos, then Brad... _________________ nop

I was actually going to suggest that, but I didn't know how Dan would take it.
About the scope of the project, you might as well create a branch for the existing code, so there won't be any confusion. In any case, I don't see how your DScript Engine and Walnut are that different, but it is going to be your project, so you can do with it whatever you want.
In short, go ahead. |

Now to track down Carlos, then Brad... | Actually, since Brad would still need to "Trac-ify" Walnut, it might be easier for everyone to just create a new project. Anyway, that's for you and Brad to decide. |

Yeah, this could be pretty cool. Can I get the same pretty screen as the Tango project is using?
Now it's all up to Brad. _________________ nop
