It's not that I want someone else to do the hard work for me, but I know automating the conversion of headers would be tricky. I'm just not ready to spend a lot of time creating a solution from scratch. But if someone else were create something in D (or another language I'm already comfortable with), I might be able to suggest some improvements. That's how I got involved with the D2HTML tool that Pavel M. wrote originally. First, I improved his D version so that I could use it for my personal webpage. Then I ported it to PHP for dsource's first tutorial system. Then I ported it to Python for dsource's Trac wiki. Most of the algorithms and code are still what Pavel wrote, but I've made some valuable improvements and gotten a lot of use out of it.
So if you want someone to help you test an automation tool, please let me know. |
