I am lookig to build an application that provides the user the capability to login, search and be able to view the search results. I am looking for a robust java-based application framework that provides the following built in features
- Role-based security
- Ability to quickly build the search and search results screens. (Ability to have the search results span multiple "pages")
- Scability - the application should be able to support 200-300 simultaneous users

In the near future - I might need the ability to support
- federated searches with support for webservices
