Disclaimer: I tried to introduce myself in the "Introduce yourself" thread but phpBB threw some error and didn't post my message. Since I'm very lazy, I'll just say that the name's Ivan aka Merkoth and that I'm just starting with D / Tango / ArcLib.
So, to the point: I got DMD, Tango and DSSS from the Ubuntu 8.10 repos provided by the Tango project, I hope this are updated and not too buggy. I couldn't get ArcLib to work from net DSSS so I just made a CO from SVN and had to change a line in Sound.d
sound.d @ 65
Code: |
-- tango.io.FileConduit,
++ tango.io.device.FileConduit,
|
Once I got it running I tried some of the examples. While they all compiled just fine, I'm missing the "testbin" folder which seems to have graphics (no problem, I can replace those) and an XML file the GUI library needs (that's the tricky one). Anyone knows where can I find this folder and/or can anyone give me an example XML file for the GUI?
That's pretty much it, thanks in advance
Edit: I fail at life, sorry. I just found testbin |

Are you doing alright, then? I'm currently using the latest stable version of Tango (0.99.7) for ArcLib, perhaps you are using a different Tango version?
Are things working alright? |

Everything's working just fine, thanks
Regarding Tango, the .deb package says it's 0.99.7... that's odd. I changed that line in sound.d because I found this message on the DWT mailing list where someone was experiencing a problem similar to mine (basically, DMD couldn't find FileConduit because it was in a different package).
Anyway, everything seems to work fine now. The examples run correctly and my test code works fine so far |
