Hello all,
I was thinking a lot about the goals and features of this library. Some things has changed, some havent. First of all, the library is still planned to be a framework for multimedia applications and applications that can make use of advanced GUI elements. It will contain API for simplifying work on multithreaded applications, as it will be multithreaded from ground up. What i decided to change a lot is the approach to the GUI. As probably a lot of you noticed, the desktops began to exploit more and more 3D effects. I decided to take advantage of this and offer a completely new approach to making GUI applications. The UI will not be made of 2D windows rendered using openGL. Instead, the whole UI will be made of 3D elements. The exact paradigm is still to be thought about, but I already have some ideas. Second thing, the first versions will be for Linux, maybe BSD, only. When Vista hits the shelves, ill start to work on Vista backend. The library will not be optimized for windows XP, as its window compositing manager suck, its damn slow, because it doesnt use the 3d capabilities of GPUs. For Linux and BSD, i will be testing it with XGL/AIGLX and Beryl/Compiz.
I will update the project site too, soon, with more concrete and more organized informations.

It seems you have many of the same design goals as my Element project, which is coming along these days (http://www.sequenceartworks.com/labs/element/) including the goal of using 3D graphics for user interface components.
Perhaps you may consider working together with me on something (merger ?)
2 heads are better than one... email me if you want...
