Why do i choose Tango?. Do i ever need to go for phobos

Posted: 12/07/09 03:39:22 Hi Guys, I am new in the D world. Know C/C++/Java but not at expert level. I am actually web programming expert in scripting languages like PHP, Ruby. I know to be a complete programmers i must know any of the main stream player like (C/C++/Java). And none of that suits me. There is no any particular reason. But i don't like such a huge libraries to remember. So i was looking for a tool as an alternative of these (C/C++/Java). And i found "D". I spent my first weekend to learn D. Yet not completed but will soon. As i was learning this. I got there is something which is more sophisticated than phobos i.e Tango. I go for that and now trying with Tango. As you know, i am just a beginner so my question is obvious. Why do we need Tango? Why did tango team not put efforts to phobos? Well i am sure about the future of "D with Tango". Thanks for your efforts.
