Atomic read/write?

Posted: 02/17/07 23:03:05 I need some way to ensure that when a variable is read from or written to, it is updated in global memory. I'm assuming that this is accomplished by tango.core.Atomic. The problem is, I don't know what all of this msync stuff is about. Could someone please explain, or at least tell me what to google/wikipedia for?
