Description

What about using Tango's VFS? You could give out a reference to it, so that the user/programer can control MiniD's IO more effective.

What kinds of things were you thinking of? Just expose most/all of the functionality of VFS to MiniD, or allow a VFS which uses MiniD to perform the methods, or..?

I thought about 'replacing' the current IO system with the new VFS and let the programer control it. Allowing MiniD accessing those functions might be an idea, too. Basically i mean that you could 'fence' MiniD by just let it using a virtual filesystem that can only be controled by the programer. (i know it sounds strange...i can hardly explain it :S)

I see. I really like the idea, though it might be developed as an add-on lib rather than as a stdlib module. I hope to be making more (any!) of those with MiniD 2 :)
