NOTICE: There have been two files previous to this one which have been distributed on the internet containing most of the BlueSkyIcons in Windows format. One of them was from IconArcade, my previous distributor for the PC version of BlueSkyIcons. The other is a large archive of various author's icons, including my own, and is an unauthorized and illegal distribution. I won't give the name of this file (actually it has various names) but you will recognize it by the contents, which include icon libraries in categories such as 'Animals', 'Computers', 'Faces', 'BlueSky' and more. Besides the 'BlueSky' icon library, 'Walrus', 'Wings', 'Neo' and possibly more contain my art. The individual responsible for the unauthorized distribution, which contained no credit to myself and the other icon artists and no permissions, has been effectively stopped from his distribution of the icons. That file may remain in circulation for some time to come, and my decision to make BSI available for Windows is partly an attempt to counteract the damage done by that individual. You may as well have the real thing, and if you're in possession of the unauthorized files, I encourage you to trash them. This new authorized distribution of BlueSkyIcons contains all of the icons in the Trash version and more. Again, you may not unbundle these images from their original sets or distribute these images in any form other than in their original archive, which includes this 'Read Me'. |

Conversion comment: the original icons in volume 7 are 32-bit, have millions of colors and advanced transparency effects added. Windows can display the colors, but not the transparency. The 32-bit version can be converted, but they get cluttered because of the transparency, so only the 256-color version is used here. Check back when Windows can handle transparency for icons... |
