Mike,
What do you think about the idea of adding the ODE physics engine to Derelic? It's a very useful library. This occurred to me while investigating h3r3tic's tank game demo. He's using his own dynamic binding system for his project.

Yes, it's one I have in mind for the future. |

if you email me at funisher@gmail.com I'll send you the current ode.d file I'm using. It works fine in D |

Funisher,
Thanks for the offer. H3r3tic has already provided an ODE interface of the kind needed for Derelict... or at least one that can be converted fairly easily to the Derelict dynamic loading format. Most of what has to be done now is make sure the interface works on Linux also.
I've been pretty busy at work, so I haven't had much time to work on this. I'm hoping to get things in place soon, though.

oh ok, sweet
I'm using ODE on linux statically linked (so in my case derelict doesn't help) and it's compiled to alias dReal to float. |

That's great. You may still consider putting the static version in the Bindings project (especially since it's a linux version). H3r3tic put his dynamically linked one there, I believe (for windows only for now). Certainly wouldn't hurt to have another version. The more the merrier.
The bindings project is publicly accessible for such additions.
