I wonder if I can make my treeview like in this picture: http://omploader.org/vM3licQ/Screenshot.png it is on the sidebar and outside of the window.

You could try to ad an extra window and remove the decorations, and then use the resize and move events to position it correctly.

Or they might be using GDL but the documentation of it isn't very complete so i don't know if it provides this functionality.
