I wrote an app using gtkd in Linux and want to run it in windows too. Therefore I try to setup the environment needed to build and run the program. I was able to dsss build and dsss install gtkd but when I build the cairo clock example and start the resulting exe afterwards I get:
Quote: | Error: Library load failed: C:\Program Files\Common Files\GTK\2.0\bin\\libgtk-win32-2.0-0.dll |
I just installed the gtk installer for windows but I always get this error. If I delete gtk from my system an put libgtk-win32-2.0-0.dll directly into the cairo_clock directory the error message changes to:
Quote: | Error: Library load failed: libgtk-win32-2.0-0.dll |

I don't have a Windows machine handy to test but in case i get close to one or someone else wants to try,
Are you using the installer from the GtkD main page?
Are you using Phobos or Tango?
And some thing that are probably not related to the error,
What compiler are you using?
Which GtkD release are you using? |

Yes I used the GtkD zip file on the file, version 1.0. To install gtk I used the package linked on the GtkD page. DMD compiler 1.030 and the program is written with the help of phobos. |

Firstly, I apologize for the current downtime with DDev. I'm working to get it back up and running and should have it complete by tomorrow morning.
The latest GTK installer posted was 2.12.10. However, you can try my beta for 2.12.11 (perhaps the last in the 2.12.x series) by downloading it from http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=6a77f15904f35188d2db6fb9a8902bda.
Thanks! |

Have you tried with the new installer, from the error messages if looks like the demo is able to locate the dll, but fails to load it. This could mean that there is something wrong with the dll. |

Like Mike pointed out, there was an issue with GTK+ 2.12.10 and GtkD 1.0, which has been corrected in the 2.12.11 release now posted on the GtkD homepage. Let us know if this fixes your problem. |

I installed 2.12.10 again and it worked. Don't know what the problem was. |
