I started a wiki page for us.
http://www.prowiki.org/wiki4d/wiki.cgi?PhobosRising
(I'll rename the page when we finalize the name of the project, so don't set your bookmarks quite yet.)
Rather than spend 15 messages going back and forth talking about whether it would be good to have a page or bad to have a page, I just created the page. Since everything is still pretty much up in the air, the wiki page is quite vague and mostly links back to this forum.
I think the idea was first mentioned by larsivi. While he is unsure of the usefulness of the wiki, I'm certain that it doesn't hurt to try it.
As I said in the other topic, everyone feel free to add material and refine and refactor what I and others put on there. Add stuff that was mentioned or inspired by newsgroup and forum posts that you don't want to be lost as these initial threads drift to the bottom. |

I am overall frustrated with the lack of Admin screens for Trac, but it does have a built-in Wiki along with bug tracking and SVN browsing.
I'm still hopeful to use it, so you guys may want to hold off on the Wiki until I can get Trac running correctly.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, see:

or a preview of Mango in Trac:

But I guess the point of Trac is that it's tied into the bug-tracking software. And I got the impression the Trac project is somewhere young, so we may see big improvements over the next few months. |

I've been using Trac for a few short months now, and am throughly impressed with it. The command line admin interface is kind of annoying, but it does make it possible to get shell scripts to interface with it.
I've found the Wiki to be adequet, and the source browser and diff functions are awesome! |

Wow. That's pretty much what we need, if not overkill. The wiki seems adequate enough (how complicated does a wiki need to be?), and yes, the project admin side seems to be missing a few things. Brad, feel free to solicit me for suggestions when you get around to setting this thing up. _________________ -- !Eric.t.Anderton at gmail |
