Nice... I'll have to sit down and look at the code to discover the cause of the graphical funkyness.

I wonder if there is any way you can share the ogg that crashes the system? I'm hoping the crash is due to a stupid error that is easily fixed Smile

Would you mind if 'Shadow of the Beast' became part of the arclib svn repository as a game?

Do I always have to add the dimensions as a point of the image to the drawImage function? Is there anything user-friendly possibility to use something like autodetection of these?

Yes, I'll make a change that will allow auto-detection of this.

I think the graphical problems might arise from our coordinate system being (0,0) to (800,600) by default. sttillmann, try adding

Code:
arc.window.coordinates.setSize(arc.window.getSize);

and report back if it helped. We're currently in the progress of fixing this.

Now that I've tried it:
* I don't get that graphical bug with the most recent revision of arc. I've fixed the compilation bugs, so you should try updating and rebuilding arc.
* Some musing was playing in the background. I expect that was the ogg file?

Can you update the link to the pygame version? The link from the PyGame site (http://sebastian-tillmann.de/stuff/shadow-1.0.2.tgz) is down.

Thanks Smile
