A debugger would be great! Although, I think that sounds like a very big task. But it looks like you got the right guy helping you out.
Is it going to be a project that will be put in subversion here? Or is it going to be independent?

Yeah, I've noticed you and J Anderson talking about creating a standalone debugger in the dide group. It sounds like a great idea. Even if it's Windows-only, it'd be a great benefit for people that are coming from a Visual Studio or Borland IDE background.
I'm used to sticking printf's everywhere, but it was kind of shock when I first left Visual Basic. It'd be better to have actual debugging tools.
qbert wrote: | what are people using for D for currently | As for my own projects, mostly I've been trying things out: porting headers, examining abandoned code (Pavel's d2html and Mike Wynn's COM stuff), and testing bug reports posted to the newsgroup. I've also had fun adding some stuff to Wiki4D and of course posting tutorial examples. |

I'll set it up for you. Get some code ready and I'll set up Subversion repository and a forum. Shoot me a mail : brad AT dsource DOT org. _________________ I really like the vest! |

Ok, I don't know if this is a good name, but here's a try:
DICED
Debugger Interface for Compiled Executive in D
Somehow that sounds sort of awkward and redundant.
Oh well,

Hmm, actually keeping with the 'atari' theme I think ill go with Dig-Dug. Kind of sounds like D-debug, and the plot of the game is some what analogous to debugging, wading through piles of code searching for bugs, then stabbing them with your harpoon of intellect and infalting them till they explode ....
