The java converter works for my actual needs. But I think it is not usable for others than me atm It is not very stable.
I can translate the complete SWT package fully automatically and was successful in starting a SWT window on linux.
Atm I am working on getting the SWT examples to run.
The paint example is already compilable.
I have integrated a resource mechanism, so i can link icons and configuration files into the executable and get them with Class.getResourceAsStream.
Next I will need to integrate a class registry, to get Class.forName to work.
The JNI bindings for GTK are theoretically complete. Windows is missing and I will not do it, because I only work on linux. But you are welcome to help with the windows version |

Doubtfully I will help, because I am officially out of programming, otherwise I would do gladly. But I believe if you post the source and summarize what is need to be done there will be people willing to help. And D may get a nice, standard, cross platform, native, fast GUI, that is developed with big budget by the java folks... |
