Hi!

I downloaded the 0.1 release of DSSS and gave it a go. I'll paste here what I got. I'm not sure if it's as it should, but it seems that something went wrong.

First I thought that I could install derelict like this...
Code:

D:\D>dsss net install derelict
+ svn co http://svn.dsource.org/projects/dsss/sources D:\D\dsss-0.1-dmd-win\shar

Checked out revision 93.
That package does not appear to exist!

Then I thought I have to give a specific derelict 'module'...
Code:

D:\D>dsss net install derelictgl

patching file dsss.conf
Assertion failed: hunk, file ../patch-2.5.9-src/patch.c, line 339

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Seems that the svn checkout worked but then some hunk caused an assertion failure.

I'm using dmd version 0.173 and build version 3.04 (2515).

I hope this helps. Otherwise this project looks very nice.

O.

Sorry about the slow response, didn't realize anybody was using the forum Wink

This looks like the 'patch' command failed. I'm using a binary of patch from the GnuWin32 project, so I'm going to go bug-hunting this weekend to see if patch is borked.

Ok, downloaded the 0.5 release for a test spin.

Tried installing dstring from the net and got the following:

Code:

D:\>dsss net install dstring

I also tried Mango, but it failed to build so don't know if it works.

Derelict projects seem to work fine though.

This bug has been fixed. 0.8 should install mango just fine regardless.

Thanks for the input.

Incidentally, the bug ultimately came down to dsource being down at the time Sad

I get some errors when installing some projects. (I realize you don't check here often but I will be on dialup and not using dsss for about a month.) Debian Linux.

dstring seems to have worked.

Here are some other thoughts, maybe before updating the source and package lists you could check how long it has been since the last update and if it was not too long ago just skip it. Also checking to make sure the commands are all valid before preceding is good, excluding the package name.
