Alright, after a little headache with std.loader and some goofs in the glu and sdl packages, I now have a working example app which makes some use of all 3 packages (the spinning cube from the SDL Doc project). The bugfixes/changes are in SVN, along with some new redist files for SDL.

Since Brad is gone, I'll toy around with this some more over the weekend and look for any other blatant bugs. Once he gets back I'll upload the 0.1 release.
