Since MinWin seems to be stagnant, I've uploaded a modified version of MinWin to work with current D versions. Download at http://wiki.dprogramming.com/MinWin/HomePage |

These files need to import std.c.string in order to compile Gtk+ and/or Motif versions: listbox.d, label.d, group.d, combo.d, button.d, window.d, text.d.
Also, compiling the samples with the Motif version, still gives: "cannot create instance of abstract class Window". Gtk+ works with Linux PPC, gdc 0.18. |

Well, sorry about that. I'm on Windows; I asked someone to test it on Linux and he said it was good, so I announced it.
Would be nice if someone could figure out this abstract class issue. Even if we don't use MinWin, it's still a pretty good library, and someone else might want to use it; especially if it's a D newcomer who gets discouraged when finding out it cannot be used. |

Notice I tested on Linux for PPC, with gdc. Maybe there're slight differences with DMD?

I agree. That abstract problem was the main problem I had with MinWin for a long time but I could never track it down since the DMD frontend doesn't report what methods are missing (need to be implemented). Anyway, it's good that at least GTK+ works (and I assume Windows too.) |

I have updated the 20060520 package for DMD 0.175. it was just fixing the imports, but I figure someone might like to not have to do it!

I would so much like to see minwin revived... or at least get a svn rep so there could be a single code base and people could submit patches against that. |

The minwin project (with lindquist as the new project admin) now has a wiki and SVN repository here at dsource. |
