Lucas Goss submitted some Linux build scripts that mirror the Windows batch files. I'm adjusting the documentation piecemeal to reflect the new build process on Linux. As soon as that's done, I'll be zapping the Linux make files from the trunk. From that day forward the only officially supported build process will be through those build scripts on both Windows and Linux.

Just wanted to give you fair warning before I do this. If you aren't using the Build utility, now is the time to start Smile I hate setting dates or timeframes on when I'm going to get Derelict stuff completed since I never meet any of them (like last weekend). So let's just say - between now and the time I submit the changes is how long it will take.

Done! Everything is in svn now. As always, please let me know if you encounter any problems.

I am having some problems.

The first is that the scripts are not executable, yet they are trying to be called as such. A simple fix would be instead of using...

./build-linux.sh

use

sh build-linux.sh

Otherwise you get errors saying you don't have permission to run the file.

I'm also not too sure how it is supposed to work. I ran build-config.sh with DerelictSDL as an argument, than ran build-linux.sh, look in the lib/ directory and nothing is there.

Maybe Lucas can test the scripts directly from the trunk to clear things up.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I've been busy helping out with an OSG 1.0 release and haven't been around.

I've submitted new build scripts to fix these issues. I had them locally as exectable so... I don't know what I was thinking Embarassed

Anyways, once the new scripts are in place, to build you simply run:
sh build-linux.sh

And it will build all of the available libraries. To build a single library simply go to the library you want to build and run the same command, so:
cd DerelictSDL
sh build-linux.sh

It will then build and place the file in the lib folder.

I have the fixed scripts from Lucas. Sometime over the next 24 hours I'll get the docs updated and commit everything.

Ok, I've tested the linux scripts and they appear to be working much better, thanks. Very Happy
