In a fit of frustration and lucid hindsight, it dawned on me that :
a) using Joel's GLee port would have saved me many hours of typing
b) the dependency on glee.lib that would be introduced isn't a bad thing since it's a static lib anyway
c) it might solve my load time problems
So now, with Joel's consent, I have updated svn with a reworked version of DerelictGL which makes use of a slightly modified version of his GLee port. I haven't tested it yet (I'll get around to it soon enough), but if everything works as it should then DerelictGL is finished.
I have also made some progress with DerelictSDL (for clayasaurus), and should have that committed in a day or so along with DerelictGLU (also for clayasaurus ). Once I've gotten those checked in I'll slap together a little test app to make sure there are no blatant bugs, throw out a Derelict 0.1 release (hopefully by the weekend - sooner if my wife doesn't gripe too much), and bug Brad about changing the project status to alpha. |

I have some D bindings for SDL, adjusted slightly from the ones Pavel wrote (I think) to work with the current version of DMD.
They're fairly complete, as far as I know, and would just need some tweaks to fit whatever coding standard you want to use. _________________ "Complacency is a far more dangerous attitude than outrage." - Naomi Littlebear |

Merging glfw at http://glfw.sourceforge.net/ into Derelict sometime would be soooo nice. It is a very light-weight opengl application famework. DLL in windows version weighs in at 35 KB.
This package is nicely cross-platform too.
...oh, I probably mentioned this before . |

That would be excellent. I'm only about 30? through the SDL stuff I"ve been working on, so now would be a good time to check that out

Yes, it will make it in eventually. I actually prefer GLFW to SDL anyway. But the one thing that always annoyed me about it is the lack of support for DirectInput on Windows. I had considered adding it in myself at one point and sending it on to (Markus is his name, or is that another project?).
