Ok discovered D a few days ago, then I found these GTK libs. Downloaded the one out of the SVN. I first then used build to compile the demo. it came to a whopping 2 MB, so apparently it was statically linking a bunch of stuff. Then a few people in IRC said that build for them too always added a few hundred KB on to there stuff. So i thought using DMD directly would do the trick. So i first tried using Build to compile the library then compile my hello world using DMD. When I try to build I get this

Walter started working on that.
You could try the GDC D Compiler, but again I can't help you there.
There are no reports of Duit compiling with GDC.
strip reduced my HelloWorld from 1_547_378 to 757_356.
there are other utilities you could use to dramatically reduce the size of the program on disk.
