Some time ago there was a discussion somewhere around here about what to do with D3DX when I finally get to the Direct3D bindings. The fact that it is a static library means there's no way to use it from D without an intermediate interface layer. That has now changed according to some posts I saw on the DIRECTXDEV mailing list. Now that MS are releasing bi-monthly updates to the DirectX SDK, D3DX will now ship as a DLL. This means adding it to Derelict will be a snap (providing that it has C function signatures, which I'm not quite sure of yet).

This is indeed good news! The fact that it hasn't been a dll has been a problem with other compiler systems for quite awhile too....
