I use Puppy Linux and I made a pet package of Kotivox
that is available
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=58830&sid=346e668905174be376c344e83a7e9da6

However this post is to mention that the newest version (Oct)
is still causing the app to suddenly disappear when I click the
middle button (which is the scroll wheel on my Microsoft compact mouse).

To solve this I first select some text and put it in the clipboard.
Then the program is very stable.

Fixed. Should work with empty clipboard now.

Middle mouse button now works correctly. Good work!

But here's a new though not fatal bug. Click to enlarge.

I select some text and put it in a category.
This works but an artifact is left on screen.
The artifact will disappear eventually and it's not fatal
just an irritant.

Regards,
Don

Seems it's not reproducible on my machine.
I added a redraw command anyway, maybe this will help?

You fixed the artifact bug with the update of nov14

I found that with an older version of Puppy linux

( a variant of 4.3.1 called Lighthouse Puppy 4.43)
there wasn't any artifact problem but with more
recent versions there was. This might be caused
by the more recent version of GTK in the recent Puppies.
..just a guess.

But it's solved now . I made a pet package named kotivox-1.2.5.pet
and making it available on the forum

Here's a suggestion....

Somewhere in the kotivox main window the version number of kotivox should
show so that users will know if they need to upgrade.
Your next version should be a number greater than 1.2.5

A warning message if multiple versions of kotivox are running
would be useful.

Thanks,
Don

I have started a new thread to promote
Kotivox to Puppy Linux users.
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=467964&sid=60a58245f008bb6b22e3257f12775ab3

kotivox-1.2.5.pet is available on that site
and I will continue to support it.
