Hi,

I'm trying the revive my big gtkD application leds.
I'm disappointed with the renaming of GtkD to Main.
Any (most) library could have a Main. What if my application uses more than one library?
Main can refer to anything what is Main.init()? init of what?

Was there a public discussion when you renamed GtkD to Main?
I would read it to understand the reasons for the change.

Thank you.

Thank you for the work on gtkD!

There was Ticket #22, it mentions posts by kaarna but i can't seem it locate them.

The main reason was consistency if i remember correctly.

Maybe it doesn't matter...
I just checked (didn't remember): the gtk names are gtk_main_*.
We dropped the gtk, should have dropped the main...
If the other bindings also call it main then we are all wrong.
It doesn't matter...

The main reason it was switch was because the other bindings to GTK+ refer to it as simply Main, thus we wanted to maintain the consistency for programmers who switch to D/GtkD from another language.

I would like to ask you about leds, because I don't see any activity in subversion. When are you planning to update it?
I really lack nice IDE for D for linux, because eclipse is too slow..

On my local I updated leds to D2.
I use leds on all my D programming but... it's still not stable...

And you are right, leds starts in less then 1/2 second.

The problem is that I don't have any active project in D and I only work on leds if I'm using it...

oh you updated it to D2? So I can't compile it with D1? Anyway it would be nice if all we could play with it - if you submit your changes.
