Definitely not for 0.2, but worth considering for 0.3:

Advantages
- some widgets are inherently tree-structured, like tabs, menus (multi-line edit box?)
- makes it very easy to interface with scenegraph objects (put small button next to selected enemy and stuff like that)
- the second point is major, it'd allow full interaction with other scenegraph objects: you could make your buttons behave according to physics (weird, but you get the point)

Disadvantages:
- makes gui harder to use without the scenegraph
- added complexity

I was thinking about this as well, but I thought scenegraph for GUI might be overkill, as you do not need all of scenegraphs features for a GUI system.

Let's see how the GUI & scenegraph turn out.
